Beyond the Deepening Shadow: The Tower Remembers

The queues were vast but the atmosphere pleasant as people waited patiently to see the 10000 lit torches at the Tower of London. 'Beyond the Deepening Shadow: The Tower Remembers' was set up at the tower to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War.

The moat at the tower has been filled with individual flames as a public act of remembrance for the lives fallen.

The installation is in place for 8 nights leading up to Armistice day 2018. Its an emotional spectacle combined with haunting sounds

A powerful symbol of remembrance. The Yeoman Warders will ceremonially light the first flame. The public are invited to watch the installation unfold each day.
